Board of Trustees Minutes

February 11, 2008

A special meeting regarding Setting Goals for Superintendent Evaluation was held on this date in the Board Room at Central Office. President Ricky Wilson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Roll call was made with the following members present: Ricky Wilson, T.O. Pynes, Lesa Thompson, Kelly Hopkins, Jimmie Whittle, and Superintendent David Manley. Members that were absent were Iverson Shavers and James Strain.

Bill Rutherford from TASB did board training on setting a Vision Statement, a Mission Statement and setting Board Goals.

The Board was called into executive session at 10:00 p.m. in accordance with the Texas Open Meeting Act. Government Code, Chapter 551.074, Subchapter D and E. and returned to open session at 11:10 p.m.

The next Regular Board Meeting will be on March 13, 2008 and a Special Called Meeting will be on March 31, 2008.

Kelly Hopkins made the motion to accept the resignation of Nelva Ann Allen as Elementary Counselor, seconded by Jimmie Whittle, all voted for, motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 11:15 by Kelly Hopkins, seconded by Jimmie Whittle.
