Each
day, there are students coming in and out, getting extra help in any subject
where they may be having trouble. We
focus on keeping a positive environment where each student feels comfortable
asking for the extra help that they may need.
Many
students come to me for help in reading or math. In my class, we are able to give more
individualized help than what the student may receive in their regular
classrooms. This one-on-one instruction
helps us to pin-point exactly where the student may be having difficulty.
Students
also use interactive computer programs in the CEI lab, where they are engaged
in individual lessons, prepared just for them, working at their own pace.
For
3rd & 4th graders, we provide extra help on classroom
material, and TAKS preparation and skills to achieve their best scores.
Assistants
in the classroom- Ms. Sue Tucker, and Ms.
Kelly Proby.
