At De Kalb Elementary, we strive to accommodate all types of students, including our gifted and talented, or G.T. students.
Our G.T. program is a daily program where students meet and discuss ideas and plans for projects. The teacher serves as a facilitator to the students who are responsible for managing their time, peer assessing, completion and presentation of each project.

This year our G.T. students will be participating in the LEGO WeDo Robotics Program. Students will be using computer generated programs to complete experiments in science, mathematics, and technology, using higher order problem solving and critical thinking skills, all independently. |
