What We’re Doing!
and
our theme in first grade is SEACASTLES. Our
minimum reading fluency goal for the end of the year is 60 words per minute for
every student. Another new component of
our reading program is TICKET TO READ which is a computer based program designed to improve fluency, comprehension
and vocabulary. To access this at home,

MATH: We are excited about our new math program, enVisionMath.
The program consists of 20 topics with groups of lessons that focus on
related TEKS. Some of our math focal
points will be comparing and ordering numbers, addition, subtraction, patterns,
place value, money fractional parts, geometry, measurement, and time.
