Classroom Management

1. These rules are in addition to and designed to clarify the discipline policy of DeKalb Middle School. They are specific to all 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade classes.

2. Enter the room in a quiet manner. Instructions will be written on the board, and you will be expected to immediately begin.

3. Talking is permitted if you are addressing the instructor or class on the current topic of discussion.

4. The following are also not permitted:

a. talking or disturbing others in class.

b. Throwing anything in class (this includes throwing at the trash can).

c. putting your hands on another student or their property.
