Student Athletes

How does the prospective student-athlete apply?

         At the end of their Junior year or beginning of their Senior year, a student athlete may apply online with the NCAA Clearinghouse http://web1.ncaa.org/ECWR2/NCAA_EMS/NCAA.html

 

·         Follow directions on the web site above to create an account and complete the registration.   Payment- The Eligibility Center accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If you are a U.S. resident, you can choose to pay by electronic check. Some individuals may qualify to apply for a fee waiver. (If eligible for a fee wavier, notify the counselor for this submission.)

 

         Counselor will send official transcripts.

 

         Code 9999 sends ACT/SAT scores to the NCAA Clearinghouse

BAYLOR:

Collins Scholarship- Baylor University

To be eligible for the Collins Scholarship students must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average, satisfactory progress toward a degree, and continued dedication to leadership and service. The scholars are awarded at least $4,500 their freshman year, renewable for three additional years.  Applicants must have a minimum ACT score of 28 and meet other qualifications.  Applications are available online at baylor.edu/admissions/CarrPCollins

President’s Gold, Provost’s Gold, and Dean’s Gold- Baylor University

These scholarships range from $12,000-$68,000 divided evenly over 4 years.  Students are awarded these by virtue of their admission to Baylor.  Go to baylor.edu/admissions/calculator to determine eligibility for a merit scholarship.

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

Each year the foundation awards 250 merit-based scholarships. Applicants should have a minimum of 3.0 GPA. You must apply on-line at http://www.coca-colascholars.org, and you will need to have the school CEEB code, which is 441-885.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honor young people in middle and high school grades for outstanding volunteer service to their communities. TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Gates Millennium Scholarship

TravelNursing.org Nursing Education Scholarship

Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative Scholarship

Six-$250/Semester scholarships (up to $1,000) and One-$500/Semester (up to $4,000) scholarship will be awarded to qualifying students.  Active members and their dependents that are currently receiving electrical service from Bowie-Cass are eligible.  See Mrs. Dooley for an application and more information.
