• Secure Campuses – All school entrances are monitored, and visitor check-in procedures are strictly enforced.

• Emergency Preparedness – Staff and students participate in regular drills for fire, severe weather, lockdown, and evacuation procedures.

• DeKalb ISD Chief of Police – Our district is proud to have a dedicated Chief of Police, Chad Ford,  who oversees campus security and works closely with school administration to ensure proactive safety practices.

• Crisis Response Plans – Each campus has a detailed crisis management plan aligned with state and district guidelines.

• Mental Health & Wellness Support – Our counselors and support staff help address emotional and social needs that contribute to overall safety.

• Anonymous Reporting Tools – We encourage students, staff, and families to report safety concerns through confidential channels.
