ABOUT ME...............

I am Mrs. Olson.  I am excited about teaching at DMS again this year.  I am married to Zane.  We have two children Shelby and Ty.  I enjoy riding my horse Paint.  I also enjoy fishing, riding four wheelers, and just hanging out with my family.  I am a graduate of De Kalb High School in 1987.  I worked as a dental assistant to put myself through college.  I graduated from UAMS Little Rock in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree.  I worked at St. Michael for 2 years as a radiologic technologist.  I then worked for a family practice clinic in New Boston for 11 years.  I began my teaching career at New Boston High School teaching Biology and Anatomy.  I worked at New Boston for 3 years before moving home to De Kalb High School.  I taught at the high school for 4 years before moving to the middle school.  This will be my sixth year at the middle school.  I hope not only to teach you Science but to teach you to learn.  I am planning to teach you to be more responsible and independent this year.  I can't wait to have a very happy and exciting year with you.
